Portable GPS receivers accept been about for a while, but in contempo years they’ve become smaller, beneath ability hungry, and added accurate. In addition, the majority of the currently accessible GPS receivers absorb Bluetooth access to adaptable computers, PDAs, and smartphones. The Visiontac VGPS-700 is an archetype of the best of this new breed. As you can see by the image, it’s abundantly baby abundant to be absorbed to a keychain, slipped into a pocket, or abrupt on to my iPAQ’s accustomed case.
It employs a SiRFstar III dent set, which makes GPS arresting accretion lightning fast. The congenital lithium polymer array admiral the accessory for 8-12 hours a arresting bulk of time for such a baby device. It would be abundant if Visiontac added abstracts logging adequacy to the VGPS-700 for those who occasionally charge to amend their steps. But it’s an accomplished receiver as is, and has fabricated my campaign easier. I awful acclaim it for anyone defective to add GPS adequacy to a Bluetooth-enabled Windows Adaptable device.

Nice project. But it would be cheaper to buy a ready-made commercial Bluetooth GPS. Usually those things have internal batteries with a charging circuit. And they come in very compact housing.
