While hosts commonly include an FTP tool as part of their service, theres often a limit on the size of the uploads it can handle. No matter. Plenty of free downloadable ftp software on the Web can easily transfer your files to your host. A few that ftp software like:

FTP Navigator

FileZilla

CoffeeCup Free FTP

Core FTP Lite

Cuteftp

smartftp

wsftp

With some hosting packages, no FTP software is required. You can just find your document, image or file on your desktop and easily upload it.

How to fill ftp information program after downloading:

Host Name/Address/Label – Your domain name address. For example www.mysitename.com

Profile Name - Your profile name according to your domain. For example, if your domain name were mysitename.com, your profile name might be mysitename.

Password – Your hosting password.

User ID – Your hosting Username.

Host address – Your hosting ftp address or ip. For example if your domain name mysitename.com, your host address like ftp.mysitename.com or you can using ip address like 67.333.8.111

Research the best keyword to give a name for your domain name. If your company name is “Super dupper”, you’d likely choose superdupper.com. But there could be a snag. However unlikely, someone might already own the domain name www.superdupper.com. It doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a Web site by that name some people buy up endless variations on domain names hoping to cash in later when somebody wants to use one of them. To find one that meets your needs and budget, search online for “domain hosting” Or “hosting reviews” or start with one of these:

GoDaddy.com

NameCheap.com

TopHosts.com

1and1.com

HostingReview.com

NetworkSolutions.com

Here some tips when selecting a domain name:

1. Keep it short.
2. Put two words together (combinations of short words often work well).
3. Make it easy to say and spell.
4. Use the .com or .net extensions.
5. Think about relevant keywords and incorporate them into the domain name.
